You want me opinion of M&M and I&A?  I'd be happy to oblige.

As I said before, Alex and Isabel don't seem to be very compatible.
Not just the whole human/alien thing, but also their personalities.
I'll admit, at first I thought the things Alex said about Isabel
(about how underneath the surface was a different person, or whatever
it was) was sweet.  But then I saw the movie "10 Things I Hate About
You."  In it, the "geeky" boy said the exact same things about the
pretty, popular girl.  I mean, it was almost verbatim!  That made be
realized that many guys think that about the unattainable, pretty
popular girl whom they have a huge crush on.  It was nothing special.
In fact, it was to be expected.

Plus, I've found the Isabel is almost changing her personality for
Alex.  What kind of message does that send out to the masses?  There
are hundreds of impressionable young girls out there who are being
taught that to get a guy to like you, you have to change your
personality.  You have to act like he wants you to.  I'm sorry, but
that's just not right.  It's the same kind of thinking that caused
domestic violence to be ignored for centuries.  It's saying that the
women are in the wrong and the men are in the right.

On the other hand, if you watch Isabel interact with Michael, you'll
notice that she's still the same sharp, intelligent person she was at
the beginning of the show.  They banter, tease, annoy each other,
sometimes fight, but that's all part of a healthy relationship.  In
fact, the best relationships I know are similar to the one those two
share.

As for Michael and Maria, I really don't have anything against them.
But I can hardly expect Michael to pursue a relationship with Isabel
if he's going out with Maria (or Isabel with him, for that matter).

Hmm, I think that's most of it.  I'll let you go for now.

Yours truly,
Trinity Day
